The Chinese embassy informs:
In view of the rapid spread of the corona epidemic worldwide, the Chinese government has temporarily suspended the entry of foreigners with valid visas and residence permits to China since March 28, 2020. Furthermore, there are visa application options for foreigners who come to China to undertake necessary economic, trade, scientific and technological activities, as well as for those who need to enter for humanitarian emergencies.
In connection with the normalization of the prevention and control of the coronavirus epidemic and in order to further facilitate the exchange of personnel between the two sides, China has decided that people from relevant European countries (see list below) who have a valid visa will be allowed to enter China;(see list below) who have valid residence permits (residence permit for work, private affairs, family residence) can apply for a visa to China free of charge and without invitation at the Chinese diplomatic missions in these countries.
The relevant persons must comply with the Chinese government's epidemic control regulations after entering the country.
Particular attention is drawn to the fact that foreigners traveling to China via Fast Track to pursue activities in the fields of business, trade, science and technology, culture, education, sports, etc. must still submit a letter of invitation from the relevant Chinese provincial authority to apply for a visa at the Chinese diplomatic mission in Germany. Anyone traveling to China through „Fast Track" and on a charter flight must continue to undergo a nucleic acid test (Covid-19 test, not older than 48 hours) in advance and board the aircraft with a negative test certificate.
