China: Fingerprint submission from Dec. 16, 2019
    19/11/2019 10:00

    The Chinese consular provider informs

As of Dec. 16, 2019, every applicant must provide a fingerprint when submitting visa documents. The fingerprint is valid for 5 years with the passport presented at the time of submission. If the passport expires within the 5 years, a new fingerprint must be submitted with the new passport.
The following are exempt from this regulation:

  • Persons under the age of 14 or over the age of 70
  • Possession of diplomatic passports or persons who are exempt from fingerprinting under bilateral agreements
  • Persons who have applied for a Chinese visa with the same passport and whose fingerprints have already been collected within the last 5 years may be exempted from collection. However, the biometric visa issued must be presented in the same passport
  • Persons who have limitations in the finger area or persons for whom fingerprints from all 10 fingers cannot be recorded for other reasons
  •
Please note that all applicants must come to the Visa Application Service Center in person to have fingerprints taken. Falsification of fingerprints or fraud with foreign fingerprints by third parties will result in denial of entry to China. All resulting consequences will be borne by the applicant himself/herself.

You will receive further information in the coming days.
